The DVD Duplication Process

Have you created a home movie, perhaps of a family wedding or something along those lines?   Have you a DVD with crucial information on it?   If the answer to either question is yes then you need to take copies of it just in case the original gets mislaid.  If you make a copy of it then this is classed as DVD duplication.

You will have heard of the term DVD duplication and possibly also DVD replication.  The latter is slightly different in its processing and takes place when a large number of quantities are required.  DVD duplication is used primarily when small quantities are required.  The quality and reliability between them shows no real difference although the replicated ones may have less chance of being scratched.  They will both perform the same.

DVD duplication involves a blank disc on which can be written data and then given access to a DVD burner.  Make sure before you start that your computer contains burning software.

Be vigilant concerning copyright laws before copying a DVD.  A movie that has been copyrighted by a company can only be duplicated if it is for your personal use and it is not your intention to mass market them for profit.
